EXHIBITIONORI Martin presents its sixth Sustainability Report, a document that outlines the actions taken and results achieved by the Group, concerning the Brescia and Ospitaletto plants, over the past year. A complex year, marked by global instability and structural challenges for the entire steel industry, during which ORI Martin demonstrated resilience and continuity thanks to the dedication of its people and the consistency of its strategic decisions.
At the heart of our strategy is a structured and consistent commitment to 12 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, embodied in a Sustainability Framework that guides our ESG choices. Officially introduced in 2023, the Framework reflects the Group’s identity and interprets its vision through three key pillars: environment, social responsibility, and governance.
The year 2024 marked a significant milestone in the Company’s decarbonization journey: certification according to the ISO 14067-1:2018 Systematic Approach standard represents a concrete step towards reducing our environmental footprint. Our commitment to renewable energy continued, supported by the installation of new photovoltaic systems.
On the social front, the Report highlights a growing focus on people’s well-being and the enhancement of human capital, with a strong emphasis on training. In November 2024, we inaugurated our corporate Academy, a new facility entirely dedicated to the development of technical, managerial, and soft skills, with a particular focus on safety culture.
Sustainability governance was further strengthened with the establishment, in September last year, of the Group Sustainability Committee, tasked with coordinating, implementing, and monitoring ESG initiatives across business functions and Group companies. This is complemented by the adoption of a dedicated Human Rights Policy, reaffirming the Company’s commitment to responsible and transparent management.
The 2024 Report tells the story of a shared commitment, made possible by the contribution of all ORI Martin people. A journey of responsibility that continues, aimed at creating long-term value for the community, the environment, and future generations.
